National Democratic Congress (NDC), Presidential hopeful Dr. Kwabena Duffour has revealed two persons who will likely fit the bill to become his vice presidential candidate when given the nod to lead the party in the 2024 elections.
According to him, he prefers two categories of professionals to partner him to challenge the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for power in the next general elections.
He believes that there are two persons who are doing very well in politics for the NDC and can complement him to wrest power for his party, namely Haruna Iddrisu, Minority Leader in Parliament and Alban Kingsford S. Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament.
” I’ve mentioned that there are two people who are doing very well in politics. They are lawyers and politicians. Look at Bagbin, almost 30 years in politics and look at this young man, Haruna. Any of them, either Haruna Iddrisu or Bagbin could be my running mate because they’re working hard up there and they’re in politics, are they not, they’ll complement me,” Dr. Duffour said this in a yet to be aired interview he granted Accra based television station on his ambition to become president which was monitored by DGN Online.
He earlier reiterated his intention to contest the Presidential Primary of the NDC, saying that “I was a Finance Minister that was also politics but we’ve not started talking about the NDC presidential race yet, if we get there and I’m given the nod why not.
