Raphael Dwamena scored his first goal for Spanish side Levante from an astonishing speed that secured their 2-0 win over Lugo in the Copa Del Rey on Thursday.
The Ghana striker raced clear from his side of the pitch with the goalkeeper of the visiting side already committed to seal the late victory that ensured their progress in the knockout competition.
Dwamena who has been warming the bench for the Spanish side since his move from Switzerland took advantage of this rare start to establish his credential as a worthy striker for Levante.
He scored in the 93rd to seal the 3-1 aggregate victory after Coke Andujar scored the opener.
Dwamena’s first goal for Levante means they will now progress to the Round of 16 of the competition after their win in the Round of 32.
The striker will be deployed in attack for Thursday’s game together with his compatriot Emmanuel Boateng to form a solid attack.
Boateng was substituted during the match as Levante shored their midfield during the match.
