Ekuorba Gyasi Quits Top FM

Ekourba Gyasi

Ekuorba Gyasi, Morning Show host and Managing Partner in-charge of Programmes at Top FM, has quit his job at the station for good in spite of pleas from management for him to renew his contract, NEWS-ONE can confirm.

“Ekuorba has left the Top Media Group; he left on Monday although he had given us a hint he would not renew his contract. We were ready to entice him but his mind was made up so we have to search for a replacement for him,” a management member confirmed to NEWS-ONE.

The news comes as a shock to many people because Ekuorba Gyasi was the face and leading voice of the Top Media Group after he led the rebranding of the station from Top Radio to Top FM and hosted its flagship show for a little over two years.

The source explained that Ekourba resigned on principles after he disagreed with the station’s management on numerous occasions.

He neither picked his calls nor replied to text messages NEWS-ONE sent him to get an explanation from him.

Ekourba Gyasi is one of the most hard working, professional and discerning radio presenters in media space in the Greater Accra region.

He has hosted the Adom FM morning show, the Hot Fm morning show and worked with other stations but still maintains an enviable record as a decent and unbiased broadcast journalist with high integrity and following.

NEWS-ONE would do some research to follow up on his next place of work.
