The NDC’s Deputy National Communication Officer, Godwin Ako Gun, has stated that the party has decided to take its destiny into its own hands come 2024 general elections.
According to Mr. Ako Gun, the conduct of the Jean Mensa-led Electoral Commission in the 2020 general elections has shown that it cannot be impartial in the next election if she continues to assume Office as EC chairperson.
“As part of our vigilance tactics into the 2024 elections, will put our destiny into our own hands and we are poised to win the election overwhelmingly such that the result can’t be challenged”.
According to Mr. Ako Gun, the party boycotted the IPAC meetings held yesterday by the EC because the NDC doesn’t oppose post-election reforms, saying, the party will not sit in post-electoral reforms characterized by rigged and flawed elections.”
“The current leadership of the Electoral Commission who supervised the manipulation of the 2020 general elections and the stolen verdict, lack the integrity, credibility, and impartiality to lead any such discussions or review of the very elections they rigged so there was no need for that meeting,” he said.
