MINISTER OF Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, says his outfit is poised to achieve its set goals this year.
Re-echoing the crucial role energy plays in government’s industrialisation drive, Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly called Napo, said he will do everything within his power to perform even harder towards supporting the Energy Ministry to achieve best results for 2022.
Dr. Prempeh was speaking at a meeting with management of the Ministry on the first day of work in the New Year.
Whilst acknowledging the challenges in the past year and the courage mustered to surmount these, Dr Prempeh said he and his team remained ready to work with all publics, both internal and external, to ensure that 2022 became a more pleasant year in Ghana’s energy sector.
The meeting discussed the ministry’s activities in 2021 and how to improve on its performance. It also discussed plans for 2022 within the overarching context of national targets.
Dr. Prempeh urged his management and all staff across the country, to put their shoulders to the wheel to work tirelessly to keep the lights on and move Ghana forward towards energy sufficiency.
