COP Maame Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Danquah interacting with Dr. George Akuffo Dampare

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the Ghana Police Service have pledged to work together to curb criminal activities within the country.

The two security agencies pledged their commitment when the Executive Director of EOCO, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Danquah called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare at the police headquarters in Accra.

Accompanying her were the Deputy Director General in Charge of Operations at EOCO, Nana Antwi and Deputy Director General in Charge of Administration, Mrs. Aba Opoku.

In his address, the IGP indicated that no single individual or institution can achieve its goal unless they work together with others as a team.

He assured the Executive Director of EOCO of his readiness to assist her office in any endeavour.

COP Maame Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Danquah, on her part, stated that the support received from the Ghana Police Service over the years cannot be understated.

According to her, the collaboration helps ease workload, and speed up investigations.

She mentioned the support the Ghana Police Service has given to her office over the years in undertaking its operational activities, especially in the newly created regions, where EOCO has only one official operating.
