THE FIRST Sky Group (FSG) held its 18th annual thanksgiving service on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The Service was aimed at thanking God for all that transpired in the previous years.
The thanksgiving service, under the theme, “Behold I do a new thing,” was from the scriptures of Isaiah 43:19 and inspired by the unweaving faith God is about to do in the coming years.
The Executive Chairman of First Sky Group, Eric Seddy Kutortse said the group has benefited from God’s unmerited favor and immense growth right from the onset, translating into the birth of five main subsidiaries, with a staff strength of two thousand seven hundred and sixty (2760).
“We are thankful to God that in the midst of the pandemic, not a single of our staff was layoff despite the difficulties”, saying, “management decided to share the little we had with our cherished and dedicated staff as their hard works have contributed to the growth of the companies”.
Mr. Kutortse said Serene Insurance, a subsidiary of First Sky group was fully capitalized ahead of the deadline set by the National Insurance Commission and met its minimum capital of GHC50 million considering the impacts of the pandemic, adding, we are not just a business but a tool in the hands of God for bringing hope to where darkness prevails.
According to Mr. Kutortse, the First Sky Group extended supports to patients with kidney-related infections at the Dialysis Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
“The company has so far spent GH₵15million and this has gone to support patients who would not have survived because they could not afford the cost of dialysis”.
Mr. Kutortse said the management of FSG is planning to raise funds for the establishment of the Kidney Transplant Centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, adding, it will be the first of its kind in the West African Sub-region.
