A 45 years-old fish trader from Elmina in the Central Region, James Quayson, has won a 2019 brand new Hyundai Santa Fe in the MTN Mobile Money 10th anniversary consumer promotion.
He was the overall winner for the month of August 2019 which marks the end of the promotion.
Mr. Quayson was presented with a car on Friday, September 27, 2019, at a short but colorful ceremony held at the Junction Mall in Accra.
Other winners took home cash prizes ranging from GH¢ 500 to GH¢ 3,000 as well as 55 inches, and 65 inches Samsung television sets.
Mr. Quayson told DGN Online after receiving his car that he had been trading in fish over the last 15 years.
He said most of his financial transactions have been done via MSN Mobile Money, making him one of the most loyal clients of the service.
General Manager of MTN Mobile Money Limited, Eli Hini, said the presentation of the prizes was a way of saying thank you to customers for all the years of loyalty in using the Service.
It’s been an exciting period, 10 years of MTN Mobile Money, he said, adding that
“we at MTN are so excited about how far your contributions to mobile money has come.”
