Speaking after the inauguration, the Board Chairman Mr. Seth Amponsah said the board was going to work in partnership with the Ghana Police Service to enforce the law against music piracy.
He promised that the board would not relent in its efforts to bring to an end the nefarious operations of music pirates, who build their wealth on copyright theft.
It noted that that these illegal acts have denied music right owners of the economic benefits of their works because of low patronage of legitimate music.
He pledged to fight music pirates until all intellectual property thieves whose activities were impoverishing copyright owners were flushed out of the system and brought to justice.
