GHALCA, StarTimes Strike G-6 Deal

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has put pen-to-paper for a four-year renewable deal with StarTimes TV as the official TV rights holder at its Airport Residential Area office in Accra.

The  GH¢ 100,000 annual deal  for a four-year period  takes care of the forthcoming GHALCA’s G6  tournament TV rights related issues with African Network Finance and Development(ANFD)  as the title sponsor  for an undisclosed fee.

This year’s tourney which kicks-off on Saturday  will  see Hearts of Oak, Wa All Stars, Aduana Stars, Medeama SC, Asante Kotoko and Bechem United  battling for honours.

GHALCA chairman  Kudjoe Fianoe at the launch on Monday, indicated that  StarTimes  coming on board will help telecast the competition across Africa  besides  the huge financial  support and  the provision of  decoders.
He said “We assure you of value for your money and hope the relationship would be extended further as GHALCA has positioned itself to ensure collaborations that would rejuvenate local football.”

StarTimes Director Ernest  Quaye Arday,  mentioned that his outfit came on board in their quest to project Ghana football across the continent.
To the Chief Executive Officer of ANFD International, Mahmood Seidu, the decision to rally behind the competition was purely on Corporate Social Responsibility grounds.
