A PUBLIC outrage in Ghana has greeted the posting of what is considered a racist Catholic statue on Facebook by the renewed page, Ghana The Black Star Of Africa.
The statue shows a Caucasian angel defeating a dark-skinned devil.
Many Ghanaians who have attacked the page owners believe the statue is seeking to portray a white superiority over the black race.
Responding to attacks from critics, the page managers wrote: “yesterday, we had so many attacks for merely posting an image of White angel and black devil.”
“One of our lovely “attackers” took upon himself to travel to Kaleo, Wa in the Upper West Region to bring us this picture of non ‘white’ Jesus and Mary.”
We love whites and we love blacks. None is superior and none is inferior, we were all created equal.
