COA MIXTURE Manufacturing Company Limited and the Centre of Awareness and Global Peace Mission (COA-GPM) are the headline sponsors of the upcoming 26th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.
The massive sponsorship deal is worth GH¢500,000.
The announcement was made by the President-General of the COA Mixture Manufacturing Company Limited and Centre of Awareness and Global Peace Mission, Prof. Ato Duncan last Friday when the Ghana Journalists Association National Executives, led by Albert Kwabena Dwumfuor, its President, paid a courtesy call on him at the COA Mixture factory at Owusorekrom in Cape Coast in the Central Region.
The GJA President explained that the purpose of the visit was to introduce the new National Executives of the GJA to Prof. Ato Duncan, solicit his support and invite him to chair the launch of the Journalists Support Fund on November 2, 2022.
Prof. Ato Duncan explained that his support for the GJA stems from his belief that it promotes democracy and peace.
He expressed the hope that his support for the GJA will help to deepen the country’s democracy, and thus help to ensure the peace that COA- GPM seeks in the country.
“I will work with the media to provide peace education so that peace can be achieved.
“I’ll be a part of it and the lead sponsor with GH¢500,000.00,” Prof. Duncan emphasised.
The GJA President, Mr. Dwumfuor, thanked Prof. Duncan for the honour bestowed on him and the GJA.
He emphasised the importance of the media in promoting charitable institutions such as COA Mixture and COA GPM to grow and achieve their vision.
He also stated that Prof. Duncan has been a pillar in his life, and pledged to reciprocate the support by helping Prof. Duncan to achieve his global peace mission.
