Parents, teachers and students of Ghana International School (GIS) on Saturday poured on the streets in their numbers to walk for charity.
The annual 15km health walk which was to raise awareness and support for mental health started from Kitase in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region through Berekuso and ended at Abokobi in the Ga East district of the Greater Accra Region.
The 45th edition was aimed at raising money for both school projects and support mental health in memory of two GIS students- Jason and Kerry Fung.
In a post event interview, chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) at GIS, Ms Clementia Tetteh said besides the primary objective to raise money for charity, the walk was also targeted at instilling into the students volunteerism and selflessness.
