Nitin Mehrotra and other officials of Gokals Limited display the new facial product
Gokals Limited at the weekend introduced a new herbal facial kit onto the Ghanaian market called Charm & Glow.
It includes the cleanser, exfoliating scrub, spa massage cream, free pack and a rejuvenating & fairness cream.
Nitin Mehrotra, Business Manager, GOKALS Limited, who spoke to journalists at the launch of the product at Okaishie in Accra, said the facial kit is to improve blood circulation with the help of massage techniques, cleanse the skin thoroughly to prevent any breakouts and allow the skin to breathe by opening the pores.
“The reason behind getting monthly facials is that your stratum corneum (the outermost layer of visible skin) will completely renew itself approximately every 28 days. If you give your skin a head start (i.e. a great facial) your skin cells will begin to replicate the new healthier cells and thus give you a better complexion.
“Skin care specialists recommend that people should have a professional facial about every three to four weeks. For those who are experiencing frequent breakouts or tend to have oilier skin, have to get anti-tan or acne removal treatment, or having more polluted skin then having facial more often that is in every two weeks is recommended.”
He explained that the Orange ingredient works as a toner by removing dead cells and dirt and tightening pores while the lavender contains powerful antioxidants that can fight against the harmful effects of pollutants, inhibit the growth of skin bacteria that cause acne and inflammation.
The walnut scrubs away dirt, blackheads and dead skin cells while the olive oil heals acne scaring, seals in the moisture and softens the skin.
The eucalyptus antiseptic & anti-inflammatory, rejuvenates the skin and makes it softer while the almond oil reduces dark circles, wrinkles and lines makes skin healthy & soft. There is also the patchouli oil, which has cell-rejuvenating properties, anti-aging properties.
It has the power to lessen the look of scars or marks on the skin.
The product is currently available at the Okaishie Drug Lane in Accra.
