Asamoah Gyan
Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has taken his training program with Kayserispor a notch higher, Sammy Anim Addo, his manager has said.
The striker, who has not been in action since mid December last year, is hoping to make it for his side’s clash with Antalyspor in a Turkish Cup return fixture.
Anim Addo told this writer “He is getting there, I mean, he is peaking in performance by the day. The recovery process is encouraging. He told me he is doing very well by way of training.
“He is investing a lot in training. We are hoping and praying that he will be ready for action on Thursday, and possibly announce his presence with a goal.”
Since the Winter break, Gyan has played five games, hitting the back of the net once and was part of the 2-0 win over Eyupspor.
Minor injury has robbed the 32-year-old marksman of more playing time the last few weeks.
