It has come up from the corridors of Accra Hearts of Oak that they are bracing for the 2020/21 league season.
The club have gone without a silverware for over a decade, particularly the league title; a situation which poses as a major worry to the entire team as well as its faithful.
Checks from the club indicate that gym works started a few days after the ban on contact sports was lifted by President Akufo-Addo.
Club captain Fatawu Mohammed is brimming with optimism following his colleagues’ battle readiness for the fresh season, taking into account their decision to turn things around when the league starts in November.
“The ultimate is to win silverware next season, and we are leaving no stone unturned in making sure that the team will be ready to go when the opening whistle sounds,” Fatawu told Hearts Media.
A few weeks ago, the Phobians took delivery of a brand new bus, having travelled on a wobbly one for years.
Ant to the leadership of the Accra-based club, it forms part of arrangements, having started the Pobiman Academy project to give the club a facelift.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2020-2021 season will commence on November 13 after six months of no activity.
The Covid-19 pandemic compelled the organisers of the top-flight league to truncate the 2019-20 season.
