Nana Ndoli Panin III, Baamuhene of Enchi Kramokrom in the Western Region, who is also the Finance Manager of ‘Hot FM’, a local radio station in the capital, has been murdered in a hotel room at Kaneshie in Accra.
His body was discovered around 6 p.m. on Friday, October 2, in a pool of blood on his bed with a deep cut on his neck.
The police have since arrested two persons in connection with the murder, namely Kwame Ofori (aka Ogyaba) and Nana Kwame Kwakye, the deceased’s friend and supposed spiritual father, at Amasaman and Asuoboi respectively.
Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE showed that on October 1, while in his office around 1p.m., the victim received a phone call from his spiritual father (a herbalist) to meet him at the hotel at Kaneshie.
The source said Nana drove his Toyota Rav4 with registration number GE 1730-09 to Takoradi lorry station at Kaneshie where he parked the vehicle and walked to meet the herbalist in the hotel.
His body was discovered in the evening of the following day in the hotel room with blood stains on the mattress, pillows, wall and floor of the room.
Accra police PRO DSP Effia Tenge confirmed the arrest of the two persons.
She said on Friday, October 2, around 7:05p.m., the assistant manager of the hotel, near Kaneshie Takoradi Lorry Station, reported at the Kaneshie Police Station that a male guest who checked in the previous day had been discovered dead in his room.
She said the police proceeded to the scene, together with crime scene experts from the national headquarters, for investigations.
“At the scene, the police discovered the deceased in a pool of blood lying on his bed and in the course of investigations a Toyota Rav4 vehicle suspected to be that of the deceased was retrieved from a location at Takoradi lorry station and brought to the station,” she added.
