The police in Sefwi Bekwai are searching for a driver who knocked and killed a hotel attendant at Sefwi Atronsu in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, last Monday.
According to an eye witness, the 22-year-old deceased, Regina Anarfi, was on her way home from work when she was hit by the car on the Atronsu-Bibiani highway at about 6:50pm on Monday.
The eye witness said that after realizing that he had knocked down someone on the road, the driver sped off.
A source at the Sefwi Bekwai District Police Command indicated that the family of the deceased reported that the lady was with one of the security men of the hotel and the car hit the two of them but the security man survived.
The police assured the family members that a thorough investigations would be conducted into the matter and arrest the driver who allegedly committed the crime.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Sefwi Anhwianso hospital mortuary.
