A Hunter, Yao Papa Domie has been arrested by the Police at Kpeve in the South Dayi District of the Volta Region for the murder of his hunting partner.
The suspect who is 31 years old told the Police that he mistook his colleague, Eric Sonka for a game and mistakenly shot at him.
The victim died instantly.
The incident happened last Thursday, January 06, 2021 when the two were on a hunting expedition.
The Public Affairs Unit of the Volta Regional Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement.
It added that the suspect has since been arrested and is assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Peki Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Suspect, Eric Papa Domie, who is currently in police custody will be charged for court as soon as the investigation is complete, the Public Affairs Unit has assured.
