Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku
Actress and media personality, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, has been asking Ghanaians and her followers to go out in their numbers to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
This was after she took her shot on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the premises of the Ghana Journalists Association.
A number of prominent citizens including President Akufo-Addo, First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his wife Samira Bawumia have all taken their jabs. Their jabs were supposed to serve as example to allay fears of the public in taking the vaccine.
A day after she took hers, Naa Ashorkor tweeted, “A day after my COVID-19 vaccine shot … I’m experiencing the expected side effects. Headache, pain in the arm that received the shot and some fatigue.
Am I worried? No. Am I freaking out? No. Do I think you should take the vaccine? Definitely YES!”
She also tweeted on Thursday saying, “Two days after COVID-19 vaccine headache gone, fatigue gone, I feel well. Still got some pain in my arm that took the injection as expected. No, I’m not doing involuntary breakdance moves. No feathers and no extra fingers or toes I am fine. Do I think you should take the vaccine? YES.”
She is currently one of the many showbiz personalities who have taken the vaccine. Some Ghanaians are sceptical about taking the vaccine and they are the ones Naa is targeting.
