MULTITALENTED GHANAIAN dancer, Laud Anoo Konadu, known in the showbiz scene as Dancegod Lloyd, has revealed that he cried when he watched himself in Beyoncé ‘Already’ music video of the Black is King album.
According to Dancegod Lloyd in an interview on the Delay Show, he joined Beyoncé’s challenge on social media and got selected among the other few dancers from Africa for the Black is King album.
“After I got selected, Beyoncé’s team sent me the choreography for the song, I told my friends and we learns it together. On the day of the shoot, they contacted me and directed me to the location and later informed we are dancing for the Already music video. I was shocked because Beyoncé is an icon we all look up to become”
“I cried when I first watched myself in Beyoncé’s Already music video featuring Shatta Wale because it was a miracle looking at where I started from and how far I have gotten to together with my amazing team of dancers” he added.
The international breakthrough has given people the platform to exhibit their talents in dancing because they are inspired by my story and successes so far. Dancegod further urged parents to support their wards who wish to pursue dancing as a career, saying, ‘dancing now pays a lot if only you are committed’.
Dancegod Lloyd made an international appearance after he performed in Beyoncé’s ‘Already’ music video which featured dancehall king Shatta Wale off her ‘Black is King’ Album. He also featured on King Promise, Stinebwoy, Shatta Wale, Patoranking, Eugene Official among other acts.
Dancegod Lloyd co-founded the dance school Dance With Purpose Academy (DWPA), which is aimed at helping young talented dancers on the street.
Dancegod Lloyd currently has six songs which include, ‘Sika’ featuring rapper Medikal, ‘Corner Der’, ‘Full Magazine’, ‘Agbelemi’, and ‘Menti’.
