Showbiz personality Michelle Diamond, popularly known as Michy has disclosed that crying in her upcoming movie titled, The Men We Love by YN Production was not a herculean task for her on set.
According to her, the storyline was sad and that made it easier for her to get into character and drop some tears.
In an interview on Pluzz Fm on Wednesday, she added that watching cartoons gets her to cry, hence it wasn’t big a deal when she had to cry on set.
“Yeah, I cried. The storyline was sad. You know you need to put yourself into character. So yeah, I cry over cartoons so that one was easy,” she noted.
“The Men We Love” is a beautiful tale of four ladies; Cameo, Samantha, Shantel and Michelle who are not related by blood or anything remotely close to it but all they share in common is their femininity, embitterment and craving for their psychological and emotional freedom.
It stars an array of actors including Majid Michel, James Gardiner, veteran actress Eunice Banini, Tik Tok star; Jackline Mensah, Regina Van-Helvert, Comedian Hogan, Angela Bamford and Yvonne Nelson.
The rest are Nana Ansomah, Nana Made In China, Kweku Elliot and Sophia Kalorizos among others.
The movie is set to premiere on Valentine’s Day, Monday, February 14 at Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall at 7pm.
Michy played the role of Shantel and delivered some amazing performance movie fans are yet to find out.
She said the movie is her major role ever since she started acting.
The most challenging part of the shoot for her was when she had to die.
“I think it was when I had to die because I never died before so how am I supposed to die. At a point I was laughing in my death,” she indicated when she was asked about her most challenging moment on set.
