In a grand ceremony attended by community leaders and students of the Achiansa Community in the Ayensuano constituency of the Eastern Region, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the area, Ida Adjoa Asiedu, has commissioned a 3-Unit Classroom block she personally built for the community.
The state-of-the-art facility, which boasts of three 3-unit classroom, an office, and modern amenities, is expected to improve access to quality education for hundreds of students in the community.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Ida Adjoa Asiedu expressed her commitment to investing in the future of the community’s children.
“Education is the key to unlocking the potential of our youth, and I am proud to have played a part in providing this essential resource,” she said.
The community, which had been struggling with inadequate educational infrastructure, hailed Ms Adjoa Asiedu as a hero and a true servant leader.
On 28th February this year, she cut the sod for the construction of the 3-Unit Class Block, which is her first project after she won the Parliamentary primary in December 2023.
Upon winning the Parliamentary Primary, she set out to reason with the chiefs and opinion leaders to find realistic solutions to the issues that matter most to the communities.
The chiefs, upon request, appealed to her to build the school block to replace a duplicated structure, for which she mobilised funds with the support of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), to construct the 3-unit classroom block.
Aside from this educational project, her outfit is also undertaking a series of community development projects across the constituency in the areas of Community Electrification, safe drinking water, youth unemployment, and reshaping of roads, among others.
In her message, she noted that “This initiative aims to enhance educational infrastructure, positively impacting the community and improving students’ learning environments. The new classrooms are expected to foster academic success and community development”.
“I’m appealing to the residents to vote for me on 7th December to become their Member of Parliament and also vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to be the next President of Ghana to transform the Ayensuano constituency and Ghana in general,”, she told the residents.
The Chief of the area, Barima Wayo, expressed gratitude for her selfless contribution to the community, adding, “This school block will make a huge difference in the lives of our children.”
The Chief also appealed to the residents to vote massively for her to become the Member of Parliament for the area to develop the constituency.
The commissioning of the school block is part of Ida Adjoa Asiedu’s broader vision to develop the constituency and improve the lives of its residents.
Her campaign has focused on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
As the community celebrated this milestone, the parliamentary candidate urged the students to take full advantage of the new facility and strive for academic excellence. “Remember, education is the key to unlocking your dreams,” she said.
The event was attended by the Eastern Regional Secretary of NPP, Kofi Osei-Adjei, the Regional Elections and Research Officer, Oteng Adu, the constituency executives and others.
