The Ivorian envoy to Ghana, Assielou Felix Tanon, who also represents his country in Togo and Benin, has sent felicitations to the people of Ghana on her 69th independence anniversary observed yesterday.

He wrote, “Today, March 6, 2026, Ghana celebrates the sixty-ninth (69th) anniversary of its accession to national sovereignty. It has indeed been a remarkable journey toward becoming a prosperous and stable nation, widely recognised within the sub-region and across the world as a model of democracy.

“On this auspicious occasion, I am pleased to extend, on behalf of His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and in my own name, our warmest congratulations to the Government and the people of Ghana.

“I also take this opportunity to express my satisfaction with the excellent relations of friendship and fraternity that exist between Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.”
