Jah Lead
Singer and ‘Lonely’ hitmaker, Jah Lead, says his biggest dream is to collaborate with highlife legend, Amakye Dede. He made this known during an interview on the Afternoon Show on TV3 Ghana on Tuesday, February 24.
When asked about future collaborations, Jah Lead said working with Amakye Dede is a major goal for him. He described the veteran musician as his all-time favourite Ghanaian artist.
“I’m looking forward to working with Amakye Dede. I just want to add my new vibe to what I used to listen to when I was growing up, so yeah, Amakye Dede is a big target for me,” he said.
Jah Lead explained that he wants to blend his modern sound with the classic highlife music he grew up listening to. He believes such a collaboration would bring together two generations of music.
He also shared that he once hoped to work with late highlife icon Daddy Lumba, but that opportunity never came. Jah Lead is currently promoting his five-track EP, Guilt of Music 101, as he continues to build his career in Ghana’s music industry.
