Okuley Nortey presenting the forms to Jefferson
Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency, Jefferson Kwamina Sackey is confident of his ability to win back the Ablekuma Central parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections.
It follows the picking of nominations forms by the Abossey Okai Volunteers Group of the NPP for him on Monday, July 17 2023.
Together with the Group was the longest serving Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Victor Okuley Nortey, Frank Debrah, the former Constituency Chairman, Presiding Member of the Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly, Abana Asoke, Electoral Area Coordinators, former Constituency Executives, Polling Station Executives and Opinion leaders of the Constituency among others.
After picking the forms at the NPP Constituency Office in Gbortsui, the group presented it to Jefferson Sackey who hosts The Presidential Diaries at his Campaign Office, close to the Great Lamptey Mills School in Abossey Okai.
In a brief ceremony, Harrison Titus Asante, Secretary of the Volunteers Group and spokesperson gave reasons why the Group contributed funds to support Mr. Sackey and assured him of the continuous support of the Group. He expressed the confidence of the Group in Mr. Sackey to recapture the seat from the NDC.
Receiving the forms, Mr. Sackey thanked the Group for the kind gesture and expressed gratitude to the delegation for the confidence reposed in him.
He indicated that power is the ultimate agenda, and used the opportunity to call on his supporters to embark on a decent campaign devoid of insults and name calling so we can unite and join forces to wrestle the seat from the hands of the NDC.
He noted that the welfare of the party’s grassroots are his concern, that’s why he has embarked on an agenda to reenergize the base of the party.
This makes Jefferson Sackey the first PC Aspirant to pick a form to contest in this year’s primaries in the Ablekuma Central Constituency.
He has therefore stressed his confidence to win the seat back for the NPP.
