Agya Manu
Stakeholders in Kumawood sector of the Ghana movie industry are still in shock over the sudden demise of their friend and fellow actor Samuel Manu, popularly known as Agya Manu.
Agya Manu, 54, died on Tuesday June 15, 2021 due to a yet to be confirmed ailment.
Earlier reports alleged that he was battling diabetes before he met his unfortunate death. But it’s yet to be confirmed if that was really the cause of his death.
A number of Kumawood actors have since his demise taken to social media to express their shock, especially when some of them were not aware of his sickness.
Among them were Lilwin and Kwaku Manu, who shared posts mourning with the family of their fellow actor.
“(Crying emoji) oh my God why why hmmmm RIP Agya Manu,” Lilwin wrote on Instagram when he shared a short video of his performance in a film with the dead actor.
Kwaku Manu also shared an artwork with the inscription, “What A Shock,” to announce the unexpected death of his dear friend. “RIP,” he added in his caption.
“Hmmm Rest in perfect peace Agya Manu (crying emoji),” actress Akyere Bruwaa also wrote on Instagram while she shared a video of a performance with him.
Agya Manu was a prominent actor well known for his talent in Kumawood and beyond. He appeared in movies like ‘Bragoro’, ‘Di Asempa’, and ‘Ohia Akwantuo’.
He also acted alongside celebrated actors as Agya Koo, Lilwin, Kwaku Manu, Akrobeto, Akyere Bruwaa, and Rose Akua Atta Mensah (Kyeiwaa). He will definitely be missed.
