French President, Emmanuel Macron, has called for ceasefire and dialogue in the Middle East.
His call follows four days of deadly clashes between Israel and Palestine.
“The spiral of violence in the Middle East must stop,” Macron said in a post sighted by DGN Online on his verified Facebook account on Thursday night, May 13, 2021.
According to him, “I strongly call for a ceasefire and for dialogue. I call for calm and peace.”
Funerals were held earlier on Thursday for victims killed in the clashes from both Palestine and Israel.
Hundreds of rockets have reportedly been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip.
