‘Mahama’s Gov’t Is A Nightmare’ – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia

Running mate to presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has accused the Mahama-led administration of impoverishing Ghanaians.

Speaking to residents of Savelugu as part of his campaign in the Northern Region, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia said the current challenges bedeviling the country are a result of the NDC’s mismanagement of the economy.

“The problems we are having today in Ghana are from three particular related issues. Mismanagement, incompetence and corruption. Those are the three problems in Ghana today. That is why we need a change from the mismanagement, incompetence and corruption. All these three things, lead to unemployment. Mismanagement, incompetence and corruption. Those are the three problems in Ghana today. That is why we need a change from the mismanagement, the incompetence and corruption.”

“…The Mahama government has been a very bad experiment for Ghana. It has become a nightmare for Ghanaians and that is why we need to go to Nana Akufo Addo – a tried and tested person who has integrity and vision.”

An NPP gov’t will build new economy

Bawumia further indicated that the NPP when voted into power will “build a new economy that is going to create jobs.”

He also indicated that Ghanaians will see a major transformation in various sectors of the economy when given the opportunity to come to power.

“We have a plan to solve unemployment. You will see a major change in the agricultural sector. You will see a major change in industrialization, underpinned by one district, one factory policy. You will see that we are going to reduce taxes and we are going to give tax credits for companies which hire fresh graduates.”

Bawumia’s comments come days after he asked residents in the Northern parts of the country to vote against President Mahama in the December polls since he [Mahama] and his government do not love the people in those regions but only care about their “stomach and pockets.”
