PRINCE KUMI, popularly known as ‘Maxi De Car Dealer’, is the proud recipient of the prestigious Gold Award of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The top award was presented to Maxi De Car Dealer during the 22nd Ashanti Business Excellence Awards 2025, which was recently held at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi.
The enviable award was presented to him following his outstanding contribution to the sale of cars in Ashanti Region, which has contributed to economic growth in the country.
The Ashanti Business Excellence Awards has been instituted to recognise and honour individuals and business entities that are playing key roles in the development of Ashanti Region.
Significantly, this year’s awards ceremony coincided with the 75th birthday of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, so it was used to honour him (Otumfuo).
The award was presented to Maxi De Car Dealer by Nana Oguahyia Oduro Panin Birikorang I, the New Edubiasehene on behalf of his overlord, Otumfuo, amid a standing ovation.
A citation presented to Maxi De Car Dealer reads: “22nd Ashanti Business Excellence Awards 2025 in commemoration of the 75th birthday of Otumfuo, the Asantehene.
“This Gold award is conferred on Maxi De Car Dealer in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the economic development of Ashanti in the category of transportation (automobile sales).”
Maxi De Car Dealer, whose garage is located at Bekwai Roundabout in Kumasi, in his remarks, thanked God for his blessings and protection, which has enabled him to become a top car dealer.
He also thanked Otumfuo, chiefs, family members and friends as well as his customers for their unflinching support, promising to sustain his good works.
According to Maxi De Car Dealer, he would continue to offer the best services to his clients, stressing that his company is determined to play key roles to help transform Asanteman and Ghana.
He urged the public to continue to patronise the latest luxurious cars at his garage, including brands such as Maybach, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Defender, Bentley, Benz, BMW, and Toyota Lexus, among others.
