May Day Squash Clinic Hits K’si

Two of the trainers expected to handle the clinic

A ONE-DAY Squash Clinic is billed to take place at 4 Garrison Officers Mess Squash Club in Kumasi on the May Day, which is a public holiday.

The Mess Squash Club is organizing the event to help attract kids into the sport, which is rapidly becoming very popular in Kumasi, lately.

Geodrill Limited, a reputable mining service company in the Ashanti Region and Ghana in general, is the main sponsor of the upcoming programme.

The programme, which is the first of its kind at the Mess Squash Club, is among other things, intended to expose the kids to squash as a sport.

Kwame Osei Prempeh, Vice Captain, Mess Squash Club, told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS that the event would also help get kids hook onto squash and play it regularly.

According to him, people usually stick to things that are exposed to them in their youthful days, hence the organization of the maiden event.

Kwame Osei Prempeh expressed hope that the event would become an annual affair so that more kids in the city would get the chance to play squash.

According to him, the participants would be educated on all the techniques, rules and regulations of squash by a team of professional squash players.

Kwame Osei Prempeh commended Geodrill Limited for its passion and commitment to help promote squash in the Ashanti Region, notably Kumasi.

He also entreated lovers of squash in city and the nearby communities, to throng the Mess Squash Club in their numbers on May Day and be entertained.
