Internet Personality, Gisela Amponsah, has disclosed that most men in the country are scared to approach her due to her achievements as an influencer.
Speaking in an interview with Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360, the renowned content creator stated that being the most sought-after Ghanaian influencer scares a lot of potential suitors from proposing to her, which is the reason she has been single.
“I’m not married and not seeing anyone… I’m 26 years and it looks like I have achieved a certain level of greatness for myself, and my age mates usually think it’s intimidating and they will rather not approach me,” she said.
Recounting her down moments, Gisela stated that at some point in her life, she attempted committing suicide.
“I have had a depressing phase before, two or three years ago, I was highly like suicidal, which had nothing to do with my social media presence, but other things I was dealing with.
“And adding the social media to it was too much for me. I was going through a lot. Sometimes you will be having a bad day and a blogger is also busily talking about you on Twitter, and I’m like: ‘oh my God, can I rest?’” she stated.
Gisela indicated that she recovered from her suicidal phase after undergoing therapy.
Gisela Amponsah is a Ghanaian fashion, travel, and lifestyle influencer known for her captivating content on social media. Born on September 11, 1999, in Sunyani, Bono Region, she rose to fame after participating in the 17th edition of Miss Malaika Ghana in 2019.
Gisela has collaborated with top brands like Spotify, Nivea, Coca-Cola, and MTN, and has won several awards, including Lifestyle Influencer of the Year, Instagram Influencer of the Year, and YouTube Influencer of the Year at the 2023 Pulse Influencer Awards.
She’s also a graduate of the University of Ghana with a degree in Business Administration and works in digital marketing. Gisela is an advocate for women’s empowerment and has been open about her personal life, including her strained relationship with her father.
