Ace Ankomah
Lawyer Ace Ankomah has sued a social media commentator, Kevin Ekow Baidoo Taylor, for allegedly defaming him.
The private legal practitioner in court documents sighted by DGN Online, is demanding damages amounting to GH¢ 10 million.
According to the writ, the lawyer wanted the “damages in the sum of GHc10,000,000 for the defamatory statements published by the defendants on defendants’ Facebook page ‘With All Due Respect – Loud Silence Media’ on 23/07/19 and YouTube on 24/07/19, the subject matter of this suit.”
Mr. Ankomah has also joined media entity, Loud Silence Media to the suit.
In the court documents available to DGN Online lawyer Ankomah claimed that, Mr. Taylor had falsely accused him of being involved in a scandalous deal between the Menzgold Ghana Limited and Horizon Royal Diamonds.
The said deal reportedly resulted in the arrest of Nana Appiah Mensah aka NAM1, Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold Ghana Limited in the United Arab Emirates in December 2018.
NAM1 returned to Ghana recently and is standing trial over the Menzgold saga.
