The 2019 edition of the Women In Worship Concert was, indeed, a night to remember and a sight to behold last weekend.
Organised by Genet Services, the annual event had performances from Nigerian musician Mercy Chinwo, reigning gospel artiste of the year Diana Hamilton, Ceccy Twum, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Cindy Thompson, Rev. Ifueko Charmein, among others.
Dubbed ‘The Trinity Experience Edition’, this year’s edition took place at the Dome of the Action Chapel on September 22 and attracted a number of worshippers. It brought thousands of patrons to the venue, where worship mood, spoken word, songs and praises were the order of the day.
This year’s concert was aimed at raising funds for the ‘Akatasia Campaign’ on cervical cancer, and indeed, it was huge a success.
Among personalities who graced the occasion were Nana Oye Lithur, Selassie Ibrahim, Nana Ama McBrown, Ohemaa Mercy, Ophelia Crossland, Mr. Dennis Anderson, Akwasi Ernest, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Minister Akese Brempong, Regina Van-Helvert, Doreen Avio, Petra Asamoah and many others.
The gospel artistes billed for the event mounted the stage one after the other and treated gospel music fans to extraordinary live performances.
‘Excess Love’ crooner Mercy Chinwo dazzled patrons with a Twi song titled ‘Di Wo Hene’, followed by a duet with Ceccy Twum ? and the crowd couldn’t stop singing along.
Enuonyam, Minister Miriam and Christiana Attafua weren’t left out, as they brought on the fire, preparing guests for the night filled with breakthroughs, healing, blessings, favour and grace.
