MTN, aYo Ghana Introduce Insurance Product

Officers of both institutions sharing fun

MTN Ghana, in partnership with aYo Ghana Intermediaries Limited and MetLife, has launched the “aYo Recharge with Care,” an insurance product for its subscribers.

Speaking at the launch at Rawlings Park, Accra recently, Noel Ganson, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of MTN Ghana, indicated that the aYo Recharge with Care is designed to make insurance affordable and less cumbersome when it comes to the payment of claims to subscribers.

According to him, the aYo Recharge with Care, which is available to persons between the ages of 18 and 65 enables a subscriber to purchase an Insurance Life policy cover of up to a maximum of GH¢3,000 for himself and one family member, and a hospitalization cover of a maximum of GH¢50 per night anytime they top up their airtime.

“The amount of airtime to be deducted as premium is automatically set up at enrolment and the minimum and maximum premiums are set at GH¢0.5 and GH¢0.2 respectively which makes it possible for more people to be insured while significantly increasing the insurance penetration of the country,” he stated.

Francis Gota, Country Head of aYo Ghana Intermediaries Limited, managers of the aYo product, opined that their focus as a company is to bring insurance products to the doorsteps of clients.

He indicated that applicants must dial *296# and follow instructions until the registration process is completed.
