The mortal remains of the murdered female police officer, Cpl. Nana Agathar Nabin, have been laid to rest.
Her burial service was held earlier today, August 24, 2019 at the Holy Cross Parish Church in Tamale.
Her family, friends and colleague police officers cried uncontrollably at the burial service.
“The killers of my wife will never know peace,” her husband, Paul Nabin, said, as he wept. He said she was a kind woman.
“I have indeed lost a partner, companion and a friend. My hero, our hero is gone. Rest in perfect peace with your maker till we meet again,” he stated.
It was a sad moment when residents from different religious and ethnic backgrounds in Tamale trooped to the Holy Cross Parish church to mourn with the family of the late police woman.
The funeral mass was officiated by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Most Rev. Philip Naameh.
The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong Boanu, Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery and some senior officers of the Ghana Police Service graced the funeral mass.
