Irene Naa Torshie Addo
President Nana Akufo-Addo has officially communicated to parliament the appointment of the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema West and first deputy minority chief whip in the last parliament, Irene Naa Torshie Addo, the new administrator of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
The announcement was made in the house yesterday by the speaker, Prof Mike Oquaye.
The president also announced the termination of the appointment of the current administrator, Kojo Fynn.
The name of Naa Torshie Addo has been forwarded to the Appointments Committee for her to be vetted.
Meanwhile, the vetting of the recently appointed Chief Justice, Justice Sophia Akuffo, has been scheduled for Monday, June 19. She replaces Her Ladyship Georgina Thoedora Wood, who is going on retirement.
