NANA YAA Serwaa Sarpong, a multiple award-winning media practitioner and an accomplished entrepreneur, has been honoured with the Top Achievers Award by The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) and its international partner institutions, at a ceremony held in Accra on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong is among some selected 100 personalities from various fields who were honoured at the ceremony. The awardees were selected based on their contributions to the growth and development of Ghana and their alma mater, GCTU, since leaving school, taking away some beautiful plaques and citations.

The awards ceremony was attended by senior public officials, CeOs, the clergy, business executives, philanthropists among others who work in their various fields across the globe to make the world a better place.

Ms. Sarpong, who graduated from the university in 2016 with a joint MBA in International Trade from both Ghana Communication Technology University and Anhalt University Germany, is the face and brand ambassador to the MBA International Trade Programme by leading the PR efforts of both schools and supports with the mentoring, recruitment and training of new students.

Nana Yaa also has an LLB Laws Degree from Mountcrest University College/KNUST, Chartered Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM UK and BSC Banking and Finance Degree from the University of Ghana.

Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong has over 23 years extensive varied experience in Media, Trade, Strategy, Marketing, PR and Communications, and numerous investments, doing business in Ghana and across the globe.

She was previously the Channel Manager for Joy Prime, Cine Afrik, 4Kids and The Jesus Channels of the Multimedia Group. She’s currently the Managing Director of The Methodist Church Ghana’s Wesleyan TV and a Senior Consultant with elohay Group.

Nana Yaa believes in making significant contribution to society through her volunteer activities and philanthropy. She is the founder of League of extraordinary Women and League of extraordinary Youth. She is the Chairperson of the Northern Innovation Lab Foundation and sits on many advisory boards of institutions including Wesleyan TV/The Methodist Church Ghana, Humanitarian Awards Global, The Global 48 Hour Film Project Franchise in Ghana, Women In Media Foundation, amongst others.

Nana Yaa recently received the Marketing & Communications Practitioner of the Year Award at the 2022 FortyUnder40 Awards. She is also a previous winner of the prestigious FortyUnder40 Awards 2020 for Consultancy & Professional Service.

In 2021, she was honoured and awarded by the Humanitarian Awards Global for her humanitarian support and works. Her contribution to Ghana’s media landscape has won her the admiration of the industry and garnered her numerous notable awards.

In December 2019, she was awarded Media Personality of the Year by the Ghana Leadership Awards and a host of other awards.
