A plaque from the UCIA that was presented to Napo
Barely two weeks after he was awarded a Doctorate Degree by the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Accra, Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as ‘Napo’, has received another award.
This time around, Napo is a proud recipient of the UCIA 2021 Lifetime Achievers Award for Excellence in Leadership, held in Kumasi last Friday.
Napo, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South Constituency, was rewarded by the UCIA for his exemplary leadership style.
According to the UCIA, Napo, who is immediate-past Education Minister, always work hard to achieve excellence in whatever he does in political office.
“The UCIA 2021 Lifetime Achievers Award for Excellence in Leadership presented to Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (MP/Minister of Energy).
“For your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence beyond the call of duty,” a short citation that accompanied the enviable award, stated.
Just two months ago, the University of Education, Winneba, also presented a Honorary Doctorate Award to Napo for improving education in the country.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s exemplary works in the education and energy ministries have also seen him getting recognition from the United Nations (UN).
Haruna Alhassan, the Manhyia South NPP Secretary, who received the UCIA award on behalf of Napo, said “such feats encourage Napo to do more for Ghana.”
