NASCO Electronics, a subsidiary of Electroland Ghana Limited, has supported this year’s Ghana Football Awards in Accra.
The award-winning electronic company on Sunday sponsored one of the categories of the awards gala with a NASCO 55’ flat screen smart television set.
It was Mukurama Abdulai, former Black Maidens captain, who was adjudged the best female footballer of the year to run home with the giant NASCO screen.
Incidentally, it was the Managing Director of Electroland, Nour Seklaoui, who presented the TV set to the Mukurama. He commended the player for making Ghana and herself proud.
And responding to why his outfit keeps supporting sports in the country, he said, “First of all, it forms part of our corporate social responsibility, and number two we believe in the promotion of sports. Sports is life, when you are healthy, you are wealthy because you keep the money you spend on medication for other stuffs.”
“I believe the 55’ will give her a better view due to its large size, she is a footballer and we want her to enjoy the game on a bigger screen.
We have supported football in the past ? the Ghana Premier League MVP category, the Sheikh Dr. Sharabutu Ramadan Cup, among other sporting events. We want to encourage the youth to take respective disciplines serious.”
NASCO is noted for supporting sporting events in the country.
