NDK Financial Services, in partnership with the Well Woman Clinic under the Trust Hospital, has unveiled a programme to create awareness on breast cancer, its detection and treatment.

The programme which coincided with the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October was dubbed ‘Pink October’.

According to the Deputy Managing Director of NDK Financial Services, Kuokor Ayisa, the programme will be extended to a number of places during the period.

Speaking at the launch of the programme which was held at the Well Woman Clinic in Adentan last Tuesday, Mrs Ayisa outlined that October 3 and October 11 are sensitisation dates for the various locations in Adentan (Trust Clinic and Shopping Mall).

The rest are the offices of NDK Financial Services in Osu, October 13, Mensah Sarbah Hall, University of Ghana, October 18 and NDK Financial Services, Tema branch, October 25, 2017.

She indicated that NDK is passionate about championing a cause which will enhance the total health and well-being of staff, customers and everyone that the company’s business touches.

“We are inspired by the results of last year’s fruitful partnership with the Trust Hospital which enabled us to reach out to about 1,250 women in Accra. This year, we look forward to screening about 3,000 participants before the end of our campaign,” she stated.

Mrs Ayisa also called on Ghanaians to keep the discussion on breast cancer ongoing, seek early detection and embrace its treatment.
