NPP Amends Constitution

Sam Pyne

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has advised its members in good standing that want the party’s constitution to be amended to offer their suggestions.

The ruling political party is currently receiving recommendations, ideas and suggestions from its active members across the country.

Sam Pyne, the Ashanti Regional NPP General Secretary, stated that the receipt of the recommendations would cease by the end of June, this year.

According to him, suggestions from party members can be sent to the various NPP constituency offices for onward transfer to national offices.

Mr Pyne stated that the recommendations that would be received by the party would be considered at the NPP’s annual delegates conference in Cape Coast.

He urged the party’s members that want some portions of the party’s constitution to be amended to take advantage of the opportunity and offer their suggestions now.

The NPP official disclosed this while addressing NPP members during the Manhyia South Annual Delegates’ Conference of the party on Saturday.

The conference was attended by delegates and party gurus, including Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, the NPP MP of Manhyia South Constituency.

Mr. Pyne sternly cautioned NPP delegates against complacency now that the party had attained political power, urging them to sustain hard work.

“Let’s work to protect the political power that we have won so that our beloved NPP can stay in power for many years to come,” the NPP scribe indicated.

Mr. Pyne also warned the NPP members against arrogance and indiscipline, reminding them that Ghanaians were keenly watching them.

According to him, planning evil against fellow NPP members must cease now that the party has captured power from the NDC, urging the NPP members to unite and move forward.

He commended the Manhyia South NPP, especially Napo, for being the first constituency in the region to organize its annual delegate’s conference.

“This shows that the Manhyia NPP is stronger than ever and I urge you to support your MP, Napo so that you attain greater heights,” he declared.
