Nana B and other top NPP members during the Loyal Ladies Conference in Kumasi
THE RULING New Patriotic Party (NPP) has challenged the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to face them on issue-based campaign ahead of the 2020 elections.
Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, the NPP National Youth Organiser, has insisted that the NDC will be no match for the NPP if the two political parties engage in issue-based campaign.
“We have policies and proper strategies to develop the country but unfortunately the NDC doesn’t have any plan to develop the country and that is the gospel truth,” he fired last Saturday during the Ashanti Regional Loyal Ladies Conference on Saturday.
The Loyal Ladies is a powerful volunteer female group in the NPP, who helped the party to win the 2016 polls.
Nana B entreated his party members to start preaching about the numerous projects and positive policies that the NPP government had implemented to develop the state.
“We have positive records and landmark achievements such as the introduction of the Free Senior High School (SHS) and Planting for Food and Jobs, among others,” he said.
He maintained that if the NPP and the NDC decide to engage each other based on issues the NPP would not struggle to win the polls.
He saluted the Loyal Ladies for their numerous efforts that helped the NPP to kick out the NDC administration, adding “even after the 2016 victory, you are still actively working”.
Nana B also admonished all volunteer groups in the NPP to operate under the structures of the party, saying “your activities should be sanctioned by the party to ensure peace”.
