Oti Boateng, the Latex Foam Kumasi Masters Men Golf Champion displaying his trophy
OTI BOATENG has made history by emerging as champion of the men’s edition of the Latex Foam 2015 Kumasi Masters Golf Competition.
The new champion made his intentions of lifting the glittering trophy clear on the opening day of the competition by his witty display of the game.
In the end, Oti Boateng’s efforts ensured that he grabbed the first position with a score of 141, followed by Samer Hage and Mark Tweneboa, in that order.
The two-day amateur golf competition was opened only to winners of competitions played in the year under review at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
The prestigious competition, which had big prizes at stake, attracted over 75 men and women golf champions, who battled for supremacy.
Felicity Okyei Gyeabour won the ladies version of the masters for the third consecutive year, thereby writing her name in the history books of the club.
The ladies champion won with a score of 139 and she was closely followed by Constance Awuni and lady vice-Captain, Vivian Dick.
Captain of Royal Golf Club, Francis Donkor-Baah saluted Latex Foam for sponsoring the Kumasi Master’s Golf competition for 17 years running.
He announced that Latex Foam has signed an agreement with the Royal Golf Club to sponsor the club’s monthly golf medal competition for the next twelve months.
Winners of the men and ladies competitions were presented with trophies and souvenirs from Latex Foam including mattresses, sofa’s and pillows.
