Grace Omaboe
Patapaa has thrown a challenge to veteran actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Domono, to come with evidence to back her alleged claims that ‘One Corner’ is killing people in Ghana.
In an earlier interview on UTV, Maame Dokono called for the ban of the song which has been swimming in a number of controversies since it was released last year.
According to her, “The ‘One Corner’ is a bad song and a bad influence on the youth. I think it should be banned because it’s not a good song, it’s backed by spiritual things.”
But Patapaa hit back in a video recording and asked Maame to bring evidence or forever keep quiet.
“I am angry. What is Maame Dokono talking about? Maame Dokono should bring evidence of someone or a family person who was killed by ‘One Corner’ so we go and support the funeral,” he said.
Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ song which comes with its dance became popular after it was performed at the Agona Swedru Akwambo Festival last year.
In the dance, one is seen gyrating in gutters under parked cars and corners of building blocks.
Since the release of Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’, it has created several controversies with people, including pastors and prophets, calling for it to be banned as it affects morals.
Patapaa added that he is tired of the constant calls from a section of the public and people of influence calling for the ban of the son.
