Bishop Peter Kayode
Bishop Peter Kayode, Ghanaian-based Nigeria gospel artiste and founder of Awakeners International Church, has disclosed that a number Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities have been invited to perform at his 60th birthday which will fall on February 28.
He indicated that birthday party, which will be held at premises of the Awakeners International Church at Ablekuma in Accra, will witness live musical performances from Obaapa Christy, Awakeners Choir and Comedian Ellaff from Nigeria.
Two international gospel artistes from Jamaica and South Africa have also been invited to perform at the event, BEATWAVES has gathered.
Bishop Peter Kayode, who is also known in the Ghanaian gospel music scene as the dancing pastor, announced that his birthday cocktail party and musical concert will be used to officially launch his much-awaited 60-page biography.
The event is expected to attract his colleague pastors, friends and some selected gospel stars who will thrill invited guests with their songs.
“I will perform most of my songs on both the previous and current albums at the event. I will perform songs such as ‘Arise And Shine’, ‘Don’t Give Up’, ‘Back To Sender’, ‘Thank You Jesus’, ‘God Is Love’ and ‘Remember Me,” he told BEATWAVES in a chat.
According to his management, Starbiz Entertainment, Bishop Kayode’s upcoming birthday party and biography launch will also offer him the opportunity to interact with his fans.
With four albums to his credit, Bishop Kayode is a native of Akure, Ondo State in Nigeria. He has lived in Ghana for the past 20 years and is married to Mrs Norkor Luluoni Kayode. They have a lovely daughter by name Esther Oluwatoyin.
He is billed to perform in UK, Nigeria and South Africa this year.
