A.B. Adjei being decorated by officials of CISCM
The Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM) Ghana has conferred honorary fellowship on A.B. Adjei, Chief Executive of Public Procurement Authority (PPA).
Addressing guests at the well-attended event, Richard Okrah, President of CISCM, opined that the award was presented to Mr. Adjei in recognition of his distinguished leadership and innovation in the procurement and supply chain sphere in both Ghana and beyond.
He reiterated the commitment of CISCM to work efficiently towards greater recognition of end–to-end supply chain management through leadership, research, training and professional service for sustainable growth of the profession in Ghana and the sub-region.
Joe Ghartey, Minister of Railway Development, stressed the importance of effective supply chain management to the sustainable growth and development of every country.
He said the huge investment in the construction of railways in Gold Coast boosted the production and export of cocoa in the world.
Kweku Andoh-Awotwi, Chief Executive of Tullow Oil Ghana, called for comprehensive integration of the supply chains of major sectors of the national economy in order to revolutionize the economy and create employment for the teeming youth of the country.
The event took place at the Marriot Hotel located at the Airport City in Accra lately.
Those awarded were Joe Ghartey, Minister of Railway Development, Kweku Andoh-Awotwi, Chief Executive of Tullow Oil, Ghana and Board Chairman of Volta River Authority (VRA), Prof. Ama Andam, Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The rest were Prof Esther Sakyi-Dawson, University of Ghana, Dr Theresa Oppong Beeko, Executive Chairman, Manet Properties, Emmanuel Antwi-Dankwa, Chief Executive VRA and Joseph Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies.
