The Bhojpuri Association of Ghana proudly hosted a vibrant and spiritually uplifting Ramnavami Celebration at GNAT Hall, Accra, commemorating the divine birth of Lord Rama, a central figure in Hindu tradition and a symbol of righteousness and virtue.
The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Manish Gupta, Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, who served as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, His Excellency commended the Bhojpuri Association for its dedicated efforts in promoting cultural heritage and strengthening the bonds between the Indian and Ghanaian communities. He emphasized the importance of such events in fostering unity, diversity, and mutual respect.
The festivities began at 11:00 AM with a grand Shobha Yatra—a devotional procession marked by colorful attire, traditional music, and spiritual chants. This was followed by a captivating Cultural Program from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, featuring performances by members of the Indian and Ghanaian communities, showcasing the rich traditions of the Bhojpuri culture.
The cultural program featured a vibrant lineup of performances that beautifully showcased the spirit of Ramnavami. The event began with a soulful rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa, setting a devotional tone. This was followed by a series of dynamic dance performances by the ISKCON team, Tema Ladies & Children, adding energy and color to the celebration. Devotional bhajans were performed by Anita Pandey, Balajee, and Sivnesh Srivastava, stirring the spiritual essence of the gathering. A Ramayan-themed fashion show offered a creative portrayal of the epic’s characters and values. Special performances by Divya Kumb and the duo Priyanshi Samal & Sai Aradhya captivated the audience with their grace and dedication. The program concluded with the distribution of Prasadam, a sacred offering that symbolized unity, gratitude, and divine blessings.
Mr. Awadhesh Pandey, President of the Bhojpuri Association of Ghana, expressed deep gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and attendees. “We are thrilled to witness such enthusiastic participation.
