‘rfg PHDI Is Sole PHD Affiliate’
RFG Media Network Limited, operating as rfg PHD, has stated that it is the sole authorised and duly licensed PHD affiliate operating in Ghana under the global Omnicom Media Group network.
In a statement signed by Marco Santos, Chief Executive Officer of Omnicom Media Group Southern Africa, the company said the confirmation follows a regional communication issued on August 6, 2024, which announced newly appointed Omnicom affiliates authorised to operate in Ghana.
According to the statement, Omnicom Media Group appointed two entities to operate its brands in Ghana under licence – thus Optimal International Media Network Limited, trading as Optimal OMD, and RFG Media Network Limited, trading as rfg PHD.
The statement said the letter, which was also endorsed by the Regional Chief Executive Officer for West and Central Africa, Alaba Fadero, explicitly affirms rfg PHD’s mandate as the authorised PHD representative in Ghana, effective July 22, 2024, indicating that a copy of the communication is available for public reference.
The company said the clarification was necessary in light of recent discussions within the media and advertising market regarding brand representation and affiliation.
“RFG Media Network Limited, trading as rfg PHD, remains the sole recognised and licensed PHD affiliate operating in Ghana under the global Omnicom Media Group network,” the statement indicated, adding that the mandate remains active, valid and fully aligned with the global PHD and Omnicom network structure.
Management of rfg PHD said the company continues to operate with full authorisation and backing from the global network, with a focus on delivering excellence in media strategy, innovation and client service in line with international standards.
“We continue to operate with full authorisation and global backing. Our focus remains on delivering excellence in media strategy, innovation and client service—consistent with the standards of the global PHD and Omnicom network,” the statement said.
The statement further assured partners and clients that the transition to the new affiliated entities had been fully implemented, with all operational, structural and service arrangements in place.
It noted that the local team, led by Omnicom’s West and Central Africa hub, is fully operational and positioned to ensure uninterrupted service delivery to clients across both the OMD and PHD brands in Ghana.
Mr. Santos said the new affiliate structure offers stronger and more dynamic integration with Omnicom’s global network, enabling enhanced service delivery and deeper access to international expertise and resources for clients in Ghana.
Rfg PHD reiterated its commitment to transparency and strengthening partnerships across the advertising and media industry, encouraging clients and partners to verify the mandate through the regional communication or by contacting Omnicom’s regional leadership directly.
The company said it remains focused on supporting clients with globally aligned media solutions while contributing to the growth and professionalism of Ghana’s advertising and communications industry.
