Riohs Originate Fashion Institute has emerged Ghana’s best fashion school at the 2019 Fashion Ghana Honours & Awards.
The awards ceremony, held at the Silver Star Towers on Friday, was part of activities marking this year’s Accra Fashion Week.
A number of other fashion stakeholders picked other awards at the ceremony for their contributions to their industry.
Riohs Originate’s award, according to the school’s CEO, Richard Ohene Sika, is a manifestation of the enormous achievements it has chalked within the industry.
“Teamwork and collaboration have been at the forefront of every single process and activity undertaken by Riohs Originate and we believe this has paid off. Overall, we believe that our success with students who have set up and creating their own path within the fashion industry is a testimony of our output,” he said.
Riohs Originate, founded in 2010, has grown to become one of the influential fashion schools in Accra.
It offers a six-month course in fashion design and illustration. Over the years, it has also provided services and training for individuals/organisations that value their image, style, colour and insist on promptness, accuracy and consistency.
It is expanding and impacting the lives of many Ghanaians who have chosen fashion design as a career.
